Nicole Kaplan, MSW, MPA
Chair
Nicole Kaplan has over 25 years of experience in the field of aging with her primary emphasis being program development for community-based services that enable older adults to remain as independent as possible in their own homes and communities. She has developed an adult day health care center for developmentally disabled older adults, a friendly visitor program for homebound elders, and an in-home mental health outreach program for older adults.
Nicole was selected by American Society on Aging and NHTSA as one of 18 individuals across the country to "train the trainers" in the DriveWell curriculum. She also developed the "Getting Around Program" funded by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety to provide support and transitional services to older adults who have lost their licenses. She has been an active member of the Older California Traffic Safety Task Force sponsored by the California Highway Patrol. Nicole has been a speaker at the annual ASA conference on the development of the ITN model in Santa Monica as well as at the ICADI (International Conference on Aging Disability and Independence).
Nicole has a Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Hawaii and a Master's degree in Public Administration with an emphasis in Health Care. She is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW)
Teresa Bond
Board Member
Teresa brings more than 30 years of not-for-profit experience to the board at ITN. She served as the first Director of ITN when it was in the initial stages of development. Currently she is the Deputy Director of Development at the LA Phil, where she responsible for managing and directing all of the fundraising efforts for individual giving, as well as budgeting and systems in the Development Office. Teresa loves ITN and is passionate about the mission, she is grateful to share her expertise in building upon a great program. Teresa hails from Texas, where she earned her B.A. and M.B.A from the University of North Texas.
Teresa lives in West Los Angeles with her dog Lucky and cat Stella. She is an avid gardener and cook. She also enjoys travel and recently visited Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Egypt.
